Jersey 2016: Sponsored Penalty Shoot Out

During the 2016 Easter holidays a group of the under 11 footballers will travel to Jersey to take part in the English Schools FA Jersey Tournament. This week long event will involved plenty of football against other districts from around Britain but also lots of fun and laughs along the way.

In order to ensure that this trip remains affordable for all players who are attending, we’re holding a number of fund raising events throughout the course of the season. These include:

  1. Sponsored penalty shoot out
  2. Curry night
  3. Bag pack at a local supermarket
  4. Lads and dads (or mums!) foot golf tournament

The first of these events is the sponsored penalty shoot out, the details of which are:

Friday 4th December 2015 @ Heartlands Academy

Under 10s 7:00pm start

Under 11s: 7:30pm start

Sponsorship forms have (hopefully) been given to all of the players, although if not, we’ll ensure that everyone has one by the end of the next under 11s game (Saturday 21st November) or the next under 10s game (Saturday 28th November).

In the meantime you can print it off from here:

On the evening, the format will be as follows:

  • Each player will take ten penalties
  • For every penalty scored, they will earn sponsorship from friends and family
  • Each player will nominate a parent (their own!) to go in goal and face their penalties

Prizes will be awarded for the following:

  • To every player that supports the Jersey 2016 trip by raising some money
  • To the player that scores the most penalties
  • To the parent that saves the most
  • To the player who raises the most money

This is such a good cause and one that will be repeated next year for the 2016/17 under 11s. Please support the district and help us get as many lads to Jersey as possible.

Up The Ton!
