Despite starting the afternoon as strangers, the new under 10s got their 2017/18 pre-season off to a flying start by making it to the final of the Arden Futsal Invitational. Even though the final never went according to plan, the games leading up to it left everyone filled with enthusiasm and excitement about the potential of this excellent group of lads.
Only 24 hours earlier the 2016/17 under 11s were being crowned West Midlands County Schools’ FA Cup winners, yet any sadness at saying goodbye to that special bunch of boys was certainly dampened by the excellent performance of the new under 10s.
