Sami, Liberty and Javeigh all left their Ton jersey in the cupboard today before donning the colours of Birmingham Primary Schools’ FA in a history making game. For several years, the boys’ districts have united on an annual basis to compete as the City of Birmingham. However today was the first time that the girls’ districts have come together as one under the colours of Brum.
Just like she has done all season for The Ton, Liberty captained Birmingham, setting up the A team’s goal in their first game against Woking. At the back, Sami was a rock, whose presence was sorely missed when she departed the action in the A team’s second game. In midfield, Javeigh linked up superbly with fellow Ton player Liberty, helping add some steel to the side.
In a season of history making, today was yet another example why this group of girls are so special!
Well done girls!
Up The Ton!
